Born in 2000 in Eskişehir, a modern and progressive city in the heart of Anatolia, Lidya Duymuş grew up surrounded by art, which played a crucial role in shaping her creative journey. Encouraged by a supportive family, she developed a passion for the arts at a young age. In 2014, she began her formal education at Atatürk Fine Arts High School, mastering foundational techniques in watercolor, gouache, acrylic, color theory, lino print, and drawing.

In 2018, Lidya enrolled in the Sculpture Department at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, where she delved deeper into sculptural practices and new artistic approaches. Her studies took on a new dimension in 2022 during an Erasmus semester at Kassel University in Germany, where she explored performance arts and performance-related plastic arts, further expanding her conceptual and interdisciplinary practice.

Currently, Lidya Duymuş is actively engaged in creating works that span multiple disciplines, including sculpture, painting, and performance. Her recent focus is on abstract figures and objects, utilizing materials such as terra-cotta, stone, and wood, while situating her work within a contemporary art context. Constantly seeking innovation, Lidya strives to challenge artistic conventions and push the boundaries of plastic arts.
